Monday-Hurry up & wait!

2015-06-06 15.06.23These birds have the right idea. When you can’t fly, take it easy! Actually these ducks were hanging out at the pond near the Poets Stone at Pedvale when we went to get water last Sat. Today Ojars and I were supposed to be going to Riga to get sand , steel and other supplies. Unfortunately, Ojar’s vehicle let him know that something was amiss and both are now in the repair shop and it looks as though our supply run will be postponed until tomorrow or later in the week. I have filled the time by helping Ben grid his plywood block and scale the drawing for transfer. Laura very kindly prepared a delicious lunch for us and I decided that this is an ideal time to post a new blog. I can’t work on my sculpture without the stainless steel and there isn’t much I can do to prepare for the iron pour at this stage so I am  concentrating on helping Ben as much as possible and taking care of some loose ends via the internet. Sent a proposal off to a sculpture competition in Champaign Illinois  and will do one for the Salmagudi show in Rocky Mount this afternoon. It is overcast and there is a strong cold wind blowing so I am content to be working inside. Cheers.
