The big Pedvale Cupola is considerably melted out from last year’s 8,000 lbs. of casting but we won’t reline her. Since we only need about 1000 lbs. for George Beasley’s “Iron X” we should be fine. Cleaned out the tap and slag holes yesterday and she looks good to go. We are going in to Riga today to procure more materials and supplies for Ben’s Print Symposium and to secure the stainless steel for my new park Sculpture and to run other errands related to the park. Hopefully we will also have a chance to see several new exhibitions while we are in the capital and there is even the off-chance that we might see the newly elected president if the voting concludes and he (no female candidates yet) emerges from parlament to greet the public. Ojars thinks the voting will go on too long for that to happen but you never know. I also hope that we can get a sim card for my phone so I can down load the images that I took on our first day here! Weather is typical for this time of year in Latvia; one minute cold and rainy, the next warm and sunny then sudden clouds and strong winds chill you to the bone. Lots of fun if you are prepared, terrible if not. Keep following , it always gets better!
Cheers
